Okay, it's official... just heard from bubba's new foster home. they've changed his name to Mr. Wonderful.

Jim said to me "he's just perfect...."

and so it goes... folks, PLEASE consider adopting an older dog.. don't just look for a puppy. elder dogs give so much love, and they aer SO little work... give it a try!

Bubba sure loves to give kisses! this is such a typical trait of bostons... :-)

Bubba is an older boston... probably ten years of age..... he came to us from the Merced shelter. His paperwork stated that his mom had died and he was 'confiscated'.....

He walked into the rescue and just took over.... it is SO obvious that bubba's mom loved him so much. It's equally obvious that he was her loyal and loving companion. Bubba was VERY fat when he arrived (see second photo) He's taken weight off pretty quickly by walking and eating good dog food.... I must admit that he still has a hankering for people food though, KNOWS the word "cookie" and will stand on his back legs if you crinkle a cookie package!

bubba is great with other dogs... and SO loving with people. He just lives to be your companion..... we've gotten him healthy, and now it's time for a new, permanent home of his own. Please email or submit an application if you'd like to meet this amazing dog.
