Some words from his foster mom :) -

We have been fostering Oscar for only four days and he is the smartest and sweetest dog we have ever met. Oscar loves to cuddle and really loves to be around his person as well as other dogs. He is very innocent and playful but is learning commands fairly quickly. He still needs puppy/obedience training to become an amazing family dog so please keep this in mind.

We want to mention that Oscar is a VERY high energy dog. The night we brought him home, he was shy and a little scared due to being transported all day. The next night, Oscar was in an "ultimate play mode": he wore us out by continuously playing with us and with our dog most of the night. It would be best for Oscar to live with a family who have another dog or multiple dogs that are willing to play with him. This will give Oscar and the other dog(s) a companion and keep each other occupied while their owner(s) are out.

So far, we have crate trained Oscar during the day while the both of us are out at work. The maximum time we leave him in the crate is for four hours. At night, we let him sleep where he wants (usually on the bed with us) and we have not had any accidents or incidents throughout the nights he has been here. Oscar is almost completely housebroken. He has had a few small accidents within our apartment but he is a very fast learner.

Likes -- long walks, meeting other dogs (wants to meet all the dogs he sees), meat flavored treats (not so much fruit/vegetarian treats), laying/hanging out on grass, high quality dog food, tug of war with another dog, frisbees, and napping.
Dislikes -- loud noises such as trucks/buses, the vacuum, luggage wheels rolling on the ground, being alone outside of his crate, not knowing where his dog companion is (sometimes our dog hides under the bed and Oscar will run around looking for her to make sure she is still within his sights), and exercise balls rolling towards him.
Loves -- being and playing with other dogs, his person(s), belly rubs, sleeping on pillows/doggie beds, cuddling, and giving/receiving kisses.

We hope that a loving family adopts Oscar and provides him the companionship, love, and care towards his loving and energetic personality.
