Bogie

Date Adopted: Fri, 05/01/2009

Breed: Boston Terrier

Why I chose this dog:

My last dog was a Boston, he was the smartest most wonderful dog. He was a rescue dog and had fear aggression issues and was two years old. After a short time of loving and patience, I couldn't ask for a better dog. His name was BOGIE. When I saw this Bogie on line, I just had a feeling in my heart that he was meant to be mine. After watching his progress on line, I jumped at the chance to adopt him. He has required much more than my other Bogie, but after obedience training, lots of time and love, he is truly my WONDER DOG!! Thank you Linda and all the volunteers for your time and love. You are all truly angels!! We have moved recently from San Leandro to Pioneer (in the mountains), he now runs and plays in the snow and has accepted a kitten that we got just two days ago. I couldn't be prouder of him! I hope all of you new doggie parents remember to give lots of time, love, and attention...and NEVER give up on your dog's progress...It has taken us eight months and worth all of it.

Things I love about this dog

His unconditional love and willingness to please. He never forgets so we always give him good memories. He is full of energy and loves to show off what he has learned in obedience class. There isn't enough room in this space to list all the things I love about my Bogie Dog.

Bogie's progress

We have now owned Bogie for a little over a year. He was very aggressive to other dogs. A true miracle has happened! He now plays with his harem of four females....Rotweiller, Boxer, Golden Retriever, and a mix breed of the same size. This hasn't been an easy road, but I work with him daily and have learned that he was aggressive on the leash but not when given the chance to sniff and get to know new dogs in the "dog way". I hope Linda reads this post because she will be truly amazed.....WE LOVE OUR BOGIE BOY!!
