This Saturday! Acupressure Massage for Pet Owners
Wonder Dog Rescue is excited to present the first in a growing series of workshops and lectures on animal health, nutrition and well being.
Animal Acupressure Massage for Pet Owners will be offered by Tom Wilson, Ph.D.and Certified Instructor
Why acupressure massage for animals? Because acupressure massage based on the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a proven holistic way to improve the health, happiness, and longevity of your pets. Animals, like humans have a need to be touched both physically and emotionally, and to reciprocate that affection. Massage is also a way to deepen your physical, emotional, and spiritual connection to your animal. It’s fun, easy, and the benefits are real!
Along with good nutrition, pure water, supplements, flower essences, and exercise, one can add acupressure massage in a program of essential health care for pets. If we’re going to touch our animals, why not include regular therapeutic massage and key acupressure points for strengthening our animals’ immune, respiratory, circulatory, lymph, endocrine, and digestive systems—all while calming the nervous system?
In this class you will learn how to give a basic massage of the major muscle groups and working with the joints and tendons to maintain flexibility and range of motion. We’ll integrate acupressure by massaging along the pathways of energy (meridians) on the body, as well as “spicing” the massage by touching key acupressure points that stimulate the immune system. Immunity is the key to health. Ancient Chinese masters believed in the body’s ability to heal itself if the rivers of energy could run freely and eliminate toxins from the body. With acupressure massage, you can be the companion on the journey of helping your pets optimize their health and sense of well being.
Tuition: $100 Please contact linda@wonderdogrescue.org with any questions and to register. Space IS limited!
