Patti UPDATE!
Here's an update, from Patti's two favorite people... her Santa Rosa foster aunties!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
From Barbara, owner of Auntie Barbara's Dog Day Care & Overnight Without Kennels (in Santa Rosa): "She has become very social not only with other pups but with humans, women and men. She understands the words go potty. she has gained weight. she has had a couple of baths> she has a pretty pink sweater. She has a chew toy and a fun knotted cloth to keep her busy. She loves to rearange all the dog beds and pillows on the fron platform area. she likes to play with anyone who wants to play with her. sh sleeps all through the night in her crate with her bunny. she dose not pee in her crate anymore during the night. if we could find a fun person that knows bostons and how athletic they are to run with her etc."
And, from Michele Miller, Dog Groomer and Boston Lover Extraordinaire!: She is a healthy weight now. She has started to come AT people for love. Like i'll be petting her and i stop and she comes at me for more, like she doesnt want me to stop. she will also try and get in your lap when ever she can. she started to actively play with another dog yesterday, a shihtzu terrier mix female. She also likes Lila a baby CKC. she is good around all the dogs. she LOVES food. i cannot for the life of me, get her to SIT! she wants to back up or jump up. she is pretty good with potty. but i think if she was in a home she should be watched really carefully to start. Where she is now the small dogs are all on a routine potty break.. she never really has a chance to make a mistake. in a home... i think she would need to be watched and scooted out. and i really think who ever adopts her needs to know not to yell at her. She is very sensitive(like precious) and yelling i think will make it worse. So food and praise when she pottys outside. when she has a mistake pick her up and put her out side with out yelling at her. she is playing with toys. in the morning she gets silly and likes to play with the beds up on her desk. The home i think would be best for patti is... A quiet home with no kids(i think childrens fast movements and loud voices might freak her out). So maybe a single person or olderish couple who wont have kids around. she would be great as a single dog, to get ALLL the love. Or maybe another calm dog. If someone is looking for a playmate for another dog... right now i dont see patti being good for that... but maybe she will open up more... not sure. and i think she would like someone who is home a lot. She really likes people. and it would help her potty training if someone is home. and we dont know about cats.
If you are interested in adopting this two year old sweetheart please send over the application to adopt. I will forward it to Barbara and Michele!
