3/22 update: Just found out today that Melo has Heartworm! This is just awful.... not only did those dogs live in horrid conditions, but now one of them has a severe illness! We are in the process of collecting estimates for treatment from the vets..

We REALLY need your help! Wonder dog saves so many animals.... and we are constantly depleting our medical fund... A donation in any amount, even $5 will help to build up this reserve. Melo's diagnostics and treatment can easily run $700 or $800! Will you help us give him the treatment he needs to live?

This father son Duo was found late Thursday night in the snow... Upon returning them to the listed address I was told they had been let go because they were no longer needed (they had been used for breeding) ... The two had been living outdoors there entire lives in VERY poor conditions.. There "house" was a pen surrounded by hog wire, ankle deep with mud and a VERY sorry excuse for a shelter that gave little to no shelter from the snow and blistering heats, I still don't understand how they have survived out there this long...
Here is a little information on them as individuals !!

Rocco is a 4 y/o tan & black smooth coat mini dachshund !!! He is VERY loving and enjoys having his neck scratched !!! Rocco is GREAT with everyone other dogs, cats, children and is VERY horse savvy !!! He enjoys going for walks and meeting new people, did I mention he has PERFECT leash manners as well as a GREAT recall ?? Rocco would LOVE to go to his new home with his SON Melo !!!

Melo is a 3 y/o, red smooth coat mini dachshund !! He has a personality to die for and would make anyone an amazing companion !!! Melo is a relaxed and loving fellow with an endless supply of kisses to give his mama !! He has amazing manners and is fazed by nothing !! Melo loves other dogs, is great with cats, none reactive to children and is also very horse savvy !!! Melo would also love to go to his forever home with his dad "Rocco" !!!
