Georgie (Girl) UPDATE!
UPDATE: Georgie is now available for adoption.... and she has truly blossomed into an amazing dog too! Georgie is 13 pounds now... She's playful, loving and pretty high-energy. Georgie is also good with kitties.... an all-around GREAT boston terrier! Georgie will be great with a male dog (to have a buddy to play with!) or as a solo dog, if the people are home frequently enough.

Georgie Girl has made wonderful progress in her foster home. She now walks on leashe, is 95% housebroken (!!) and she has turned into awonderful, loving little dog!
Georgie is 3-4 years of age (approx) and weighs 8-10 pounds. SHe is a red boston terrier, rescued from a puppy mill.... a little doll, looking for a loving home. She'll do best as the only dog in the house, and probably NO cats!

bio of georgie and bulldog:
These two bostons came to us from the Kings County animal shelter in Hanford... near Fresno.
These two dogs were sent away by a breeder... we don't know the entire story and never will.... I'm just glad that they are safe.
Georgie seems to be about 4 years old.. maybe a little younger...She is a tiny red boston terrier, no more than ten pounds. Bulldog is between 2 and 3, and I'd guess that he weighs 23 pounds. He is So scared of life... it just breaks my heart to have seen him like this, and to wonder what he went through. Although he is already improving in his foster home, he is still afraid of shuffling feet, loud noises.... you can see from his photo that he just tries to curl up into a little ball, and to close his eyes. the first night they were here they slept under the blankies, SO happy to be safe and warm... that was a joy.
They'd never been on leashes... now, with patience and love they are walking for their foster folks.. they are opening up.. learning that life IS safe and that treats are good....
As they are bonded, we would like to keep them together, in a loving, quiet household... one which will continue their socializing and potty training (which has improved greatly). I cannot say yet whether they will grow into 'city' dogs who go to the park, play fetch, etc. I also don't know whether we will want to separate them. At this moment I can say that they are happier than they have been in a long while and that they show increasing affection and gratitude to their peeps.
Please email or submit the application to adopt if you are interested in helping these two deserving dogs.
