UPDATE: Louie came to hang out with us at the Sunday mobile adoption. He is SUCH a nice dog.... he has such unusual coloring... you'd think he is mostly schnauzer, but has that wonderful golden tan markings that you see in yorkies... however, he does NOT look like a yorkie... go figure! He is such a nice fella and will give someone such wonderful companionship!

Louie came to us from the Yolo county animal shelter. He was such an exuberant fellow ... they knew he needed a second chance, and that rescue would give that to him.

Louie is about a year and a half old. He is very cuddly. His foster mom reports that he is LOTS of fun.... he's an active boy who will do well with other dogs, and of course adults... Louie likes to nip fingers to get attention. This is called 'play biting' and needs to be strongly discouraged (water bottle works fine). For this reason we are NOT recommending him to a home with children at this time.

He's just getting the ropes of city living.... but we know he's going to blossom quickly. Don't really know his heritage... he appears to have some schnauzer... but also has some tan fur, almost yorkie-like markings... he's about 12 pounds..

You can meet Louie at our weekend mobile adoptions! He does have a mild case of kennel cough and will be neutered as soon as this passes.
