Cody is perfect: curious, silly, and cuddly. He is also very timid in a new environment and requires a forever human with patience and warmth. Because when Cody starts to feel comfortable and cozy, he is such a delight. Cody comes to us from living outside in Fresno, and while he is new to houses, leashes, toys, and potty training, he is doing well. He is housebroken and has started politely going to the backdoor when he wants to be let out. Cody loves hanging indoors and looking out a window (without barking). He is also starting to do well on the leash, and he is happy to go around the block or go for a three-mile hike. Cody responds wonderfully to positive reinforcement, and is very smart, quickly learning basic commands. He would thrive with a forever human who has time and interest in training him and can be very gentle as he learns what is safe. His ideal home would be peaceful, with a backyard and a companion or two to take him for walks.
