Beau came to us from the Santa Cruz, CA shelter. As you can see in the 3rd photo, he was quite emaciated and while we don't know his past, it's obvious that he'd been severely neglected. He's been seen by a vet and is on a solid nutritional plan. Here's what his foster mom has to say about him:
Beau is a lovely fella that has the resilience of a boulder in a storm. . At 2-4 years old he is potty trained and a relatively easy companion to have around. Beau does need some help with initial dogs intros as he needs to be neutered. But when monitored and guided with other dogs he does well. He's very affectionate and likes to be close and yet can also be left alone comfortably in an enclosed area and happily naps. I'd say no cats. He's just a little too interested. Beau is on a feeding schedule to help him gain weight and get him used to regular meals as he arrived completely emaciated. Beau deserves comfort, love and a gentle and guided landing.
