Cookie is now walking on all fours! she prefers this to having her foster use the sling. Her foster tells us that Cookie *LOVES* all cats and dogs too! She's become a wonderful little girl!

Cookie came to the shelter from a case from a severe hoarding case. She was dirty and matted. They couldn't tell if she was a boy or a girl. As it turns out she is a female. She was also not walking normally. The vet on staff found a deformed leg on her left side in the back. She is able to get around.
Cookie should be named princess because she needs to have everyone's attention. When she is on the floor she will tap your leg. "Pick me Up! " A volunteer, during the adoption event, held her in a sling and she loved it. She is able to get around witth help. We are using a sling around her belly to elevate her legs in the back in hopes of strengthening the functional leg.
She did well with other dogs so far. We are still getting to know her and we will continue to add to her profile as we learn more.
